          Return Home

Return to home is the autonomous feature of the drone that tells the drone to return to the point at which it last took off. This saves the user the trouble of manually flying the drone back to the takeoff point through a potentially complex environment.

          Waypoint Path Planning

This feature allows the user to set points on or off the generated map and then tell the drone to fly to each of those waypoints. Waypoints are set on the mapping tablet. Once the waypoints are set, the user simply hits an “Auto” button on the pilot tablet and the drone flies to each waypoint in the order in which they were sent. As the drone discovers obstacles between the waypoints, it will dynamically plan a path around each. Waypoints are the most basic autonomous flight feature on the DS1. They allow a user to plan a path for the drone so that the user can focus on what they are seeing on the video feed rather than flying the drone.
